Curious George

Curious George

Jack

I’m sorry, but this is wrong.

George

Wrong? It’s not wrong, it’s a choice, Jack.

Jack

No. It’s wrong.

George

How can love be wrong? How can what we feel be wrong?

Jack

This is ridiculous. You’re a man, that’s why.

George

You love me, Jack! Don’t deny us our chance to be together!

Jack

I do not love you. Never did. Never gave you any reason to think so.

George

You mean to tell me all the time we’ve spent together – all that we’ve been through – you mean to say you’ve felt nothing for me?

Jack

I think you hit your head a little harder than we thought. You know we just met, right?

George

You kissed me, Jack! You kissed me on the freaking lips!

Jack

It was not a kiss, you idiot. You weren’t breathing.

George

Oh Jack! Please! Please! Please, I love you!

Jack

No, George, you don’t. In fact, you’re married. By the looks of the photo here in your wallet, she’s a lovely wife.

George

You knew what you were doing, Jack. You must have known how I’d feel about you. You must have known how I was. You can’t just claim innocence in this. How can you stand there and arbitrarily deny me what you’ve given me so much reason to hope for!

Jack

I offered you a bottle of water, George. It’s not like we we’re gonna pick out furniture or anything.

George

No. I refuse to believe that. You’re afraid, aren’t you? You’re just scared of what you really feel inside! Well that’s not enough, Jack! If you can’t decide – if you can’t be strong enough to make this stand together, than I’ll make the choice for the both of us.

(Pulls out a gun and shoots Jack in the chest)

Jack

Now, George, – wait? What?! You just shot me!

(Jack is clearly unharmed)

George

I don’t understand. Wha – What’s going on?

Jack

You blithering idiot! You totally just shot me! Give me that –  jerk! Next time you slip at the pool, you can do CPR on yourself, creep. I’m calling the police.

(Jack grabs the gun from George)

George

Um… Wait, Jack. Um – ow. My head hurts. What happened to me, Jack? Where’s my wife? Did you see my wife?

Jack

Whatever, man. You’re on your own now.

(Jack exits)

Fade out.
